The first day of the rest of your life... May as well be me, ne? ;) Anyway, all in all, it's been a strange year/decade. I've been reading a lot of people's memories and thinking "yeah, that happened" or "what th'... I don't remember that at all". Since memories are best likened to mental snapshots/home movies of things that we found important at the time that we took them, it makes sense that they wouldn't all be the same and would all be shot from different perspectives. Too much to write here, but basically to keep hope alive, to love deeply regardless of the chance of ruin, to keep writing, keep dreaming, and keep working at your dreams -- because they don't come to life on their own. Play. Work. Pray. Live. Love. (I'm still working at the forgiveness, but aren't we all?) Everything else will fall into place. I've loved and I've lost through a myriad of reasons, but I'll see those people again. I know it. Love to you all and best wishes for a Happy New Year and a decade to come full of happy memories to be made. Feel free to add your memories below if you want to... Happy Christmas to all... It's been a wild and crazy year for a lot of us, but may some sense of peace and happiness be with you today. But for now, Santa brought me a Tori Amos Christmas CD to which I should listen. Plus, I can bask in the knowledge that I made a pretty good red velvet layer cake yesterday.
