Ecological Economics
It's the Ecology, Stupid
This is an excellent summary of what I think is the right away to approach thinking about our way of life. It's about ecological constraints on economic growth and the belief systems that underlie our way of life. It's about intelligently adapting those belief systems to match reality instead of waiting for it all to crumble beneath us.
I haven't read the paper yet, but I intend to.
